MOTO RACER

PUBLISHER-ELECTRONIC ARTS

DEVELOPER-DELPHINE

Wow. This has got to be one of th best racers out there today. Moto Racer is a sleek game, that would surely beat out any other contender for title of Best Motorcycle Racer. I am surprized that this game does not recieve more attention than it has gotten.

The first thing you'll notice about Moto is it's sleek interface. It is one of the best I've seen. When you start to actually play the game, you be amazed by the graphics. They are realistic and fast, all running at a pretty high res, although there is some annoying pop-up around the tracks. The sound is another strong point in this game. The music is cool, the engines of the bikes are realistic, adn the announcer is crisp and clear. I really liked the control, too. It is tight and responcive, letting you take better turns and such. The eight tracks are well designed and are just the right length for a race. The different modes, like time attack and championship, and a nice addition too.

Moto isn't perfect, though. The bikes you pick from all act the same, even though they have different specs. Tracks are some what of a problem as well. They are well designed, although at the high speeds you travel at, one wrong move is a certain death. This brings me to another complaint, the difficulty. The first few times you play the game, don't expect to get anywhere near 8th place. With alot of practice, in about 1 month, you'll be nearing first. Those flaws don't really make the game uninjoyable, they can just get annoying sometimes. I would recommend Moto Racer to anyone, as it is one of the best motorcycle racers out there.
